BlueLux offers professional pool filter cleaning in San Diego for $150 per service. We handle cartridge and DE filters with a full teardown, deep clean, inspection, and reassembly. Recommended every 6 months, or included free with Premium and Lux plans.
What We Do
Every filter clean follows the same thorough process, whether you are on a maintenance plan or booking a one-time service.
Shut Down & Remove
We shut off the pump, release pressure, and carefully remove the filter assembly.
Full Teardown
Every grid, cartridge, or element is removed and individually inspected for wear and damage.
Deep Clean
High-pressure rinse to remove oils, debris, and mineral buildup. DE filters get a fresh coat of diatomaceous earth.
Reassemble & Test
Everything goes back together, the system is restarted, and we verify proper pressure and flow.
$150 Per Clean
Flat rate. No hidden fees. Parts extra only if replacement is needed.

Filter Types We Service
Cartridge Filters
Most common in residential pools. We remove each cartridge, deep rinse to clear debris, and inspect for tears or wear that reduce filtration.
Cartridges typically last 1-3 years before needing replacement.
DE (Diatomaceous Earth) Filters
Best filtration available. We disassemble the grid assembly, clean each grid individually, inspect for tears, and recoat with fresh DE powder.
DE grids typically last 3-7 years. We will flag any that need replacement.
