BlueLux offers professional salt cell cleaning in San Diego for $50 per service. We acid-soak the cell to remove calcium and mineral scale, inspect the plates for wear, and reinstall it. Recommended every 3 months, or included free with Premium and Lux plans (4 cleans/year, $200 value).

A clean salt cell produces chlorine consistently and lasts years longer. Here is exactly what we do.
Power Down & Remove
We shut off the salt system, disconnect the cell, and carefully remove it from the plumbing.
Visual Inspection
We check the plates for scale buildup, erosion, and coating wear. If the cell is near end of life, we let you know.
Acid Soak
The cell soaks in a professional-strength acid solution that dissolves calcium and mineral deposits without damaging the plates.
Rinse & Reinstall
After descaling, we rinse thoroughly, reinstall the cell, and verify the system is reading and producing properly.
$50 Per Clean
Flat rate for removal, acid soak, and reinstallation. Cell replacement quoted separately if needed.
